Chris is originally from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and currently lives in Spring Mills with her husband Ken and four children. She completed her undergraduate education at Penn State University as she earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Athletic Training with a Health Education Minor. She went on to graduate from Slippery Rock University with a Masters of Physical Therapy in 1995 and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 1998. She has over 22 years of experience in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. In addition to providing generalized physical therapy, Chris is Certified by the McKenzie Institute for Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Spine. Chris joined the Energy team in the summer of 2017 to supplement her career. She has enjoyed traveling to clients to carry out individualized treatment as a mobile therapist.
Outside of her career as a Physical Therapist, Chris enjoys sports and activities of all kinds including running, quilting and crafts. She is active in church ministries and is an acting board member for the Penns Valley Youth Center in Spring Mills.
Over the last couple of years, Chris has developed a new interest in prevention, health, wellness and whole food nutrition with Juice Plus+ where she gives health presentations. www.hurd.juiceplus.com. Energy is fortunate to have Chris as part of the contract therapy team to supplement our therapy services. She brings with her a strong orthopedic background and a holistic approach to patient care.
