Physical Therapy - State College
Melissa is originally from Waterford, Pennsylvania and completed her undergraduate education at Penn State University as she earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. She went on to graduate from Slippery Rock University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2005. Recently, Melissa has moved back to the Centre County region after spending 13 years in Arizona. In her career, Melissa has worked with patients in the outpatient setting with complex postural deficits, spine and musculoskeletal conditions and chronic pain. She has specialized training in treating patients with cancer. Melissa is a Cancer Exercise Specialist and Pink Ribbon Program instructor. In the clinic she worked in, she helped develop and implement a Cancer Recovery Program while living in Arizona. Melissa is a PMA Certified Pilates Instructor and Certified Kinesiotaping Practitioner allowing her to add these techniques when treating her clients.
Outside of her career as a Physical Therapist, Melissa
enjoys playing soccer, hiking and practicing Pilates. She
loves to travel and is always planning another international trip.
